Sting is widely known as a singer-songwriter (among other pursuits) and has recorded material in the reggae, pop, classical, jazz and other genres particularly varying the styles since going solo 25 years ago. Sting is originally from Newcastle and before his solo career was the front man for the massive success that was The Police.
His list of songs consists of well known songs like Englishman In New York, We’ll Be Together, If You Love Somebody Set Them Free and All This Time (combined with other ones that are often played in concerts).
Sting was in fact born Gordon Matthew Thomas Sumner in 1951 and is the eldest or four children. His first guitar was left behind by an Uncle who had emigrated and left a rusty stringed Spanish style guitar which the young Gordon took to.

The most current album in 2010 is known as Symphonicities containing 12 songs including Every Little Thing She Does Is Magic, Roxanne, When We Dance and more classics from the solo and Police era.
